Morning Prayer – Sunday
With tear-drenched voices,
lungs outstretched to sing,
our guts emboldened, well-fed
on flesh, broken –
and tongues to taste blood from a cup,
let our tiny reverie resound
in the vast echo of your heart,
beating like yours.
